Procedure:
UG Course:
selection will be based on National level exam

KVPY-SA [appeared in 2015 and selected
for the Fellowship], KVPY-SB [appeared in 2016 and selected for the
Fellowship], KVPY-SX [appeared in 2016 and selected for the Fellowship], KVPY
Fellows selected through the Empowerment Initiative for SC/ST candidates
[appeared in 2015 for SA, 2016 for SB/SX, and selected for the Fellowship].

IIT-JEE-Main [appearing in 2017 and
securing a minimum of 60% (GEN), 54% (OBC-NCL), 30% (SC/ST/PWD)].
·
IIT-JEE-Advanced [appearing in 2017
and securing a minimum of 60% (GEN), 54% (OBC-NCL), 30% (SC/ST/PWD)].
·
AIPMT [appearing in 2017 and securing
a minimum of 60% (GEN), 54% (OBC-NCL), 30% (SC/ST/PWD)].
PG
Courses: they will be also selected from the National
level entrance exams.
· Research
Programmes: Those candidates want admission in Research
programmes, they have to meet the eligibility criteria and qualifying one of
the entrance exams: CSIR-UGC NET for JRF/UGC-NET for JRF/DBT JRF/ICMR JRF/JEST
2016/NBHM Screening Test 2016/GATE 2015/2016/2017/INSPIRE Fellows (for Ph D).
· M.Tech
Programmes: Selection of the candidates will be based on
the GATE 2016/2017 score. Candidates who are selected on the basis of the GATE
score, they have to qualify the aptitude test and interview that is organized
by the IISC for M.Tech Programmes admission.
·
Master
of Design (M.Des) Programme: To get admission in M Des programme,
candidates have to qualify one of the entrance exams that are GATE/CEED. After
passing GATE/CEED, the IISC conducts a Design Aptitude Test and interview.
Selection will be based on the performance in the Design Aptitude Test and
interview.
·
Master
of Management (M.Mgt) Programme: Candidate will be shortlisted on the
basis of a valid GATE/CAT/GMAT score. The short listed candidates have to
appear for the group discussion and interview process. On the bases of the
performance of the candidate in the group discussion and interview, they will
be selected for the M.Mgt programme.
· Ph.D
(Integrated) Programmes: Candidate will be selected on the
basis of the JAM 2017/JEST 2017 score followed by an interview.
· External
Registration Programmes (Ph.D): Those candidates seeking admission in
this programme, they have to meet the eligibility criteria. They also have two
years of full-time employment experience. The selection will be based on the
performance of the candidate in the interview to be conducted at IISc.
