WBMDFC Scholarship
West Bengal Minorities' Development & Finance Corporation is providing Scholarship to the meritorious students belonging to the minority communities. The primary aim of WBMDFC Scholarship 2020 is to provide financial support to the deserving aspirants for perusing their education. There are three types of Scholarship that are Pre-matric, Post-matric, and Merit-cum-Means Scholarship.
The Pre-matric Scholarship will be provided to meritorious students studying in Class-I to Class-X, Post-matric Scholarship is for students from Class-XI to Ph. D, whereas Merit-cum-Means Scholarships is for the meritorious student’s perusing technical & professional courses. Those who want to avail the benefit of the scheme are advised to apply for the WBMDFC Scholarship 2020 as per the guidelines. Types Of Scholarship:
- Pre-matric Scholarship (for meritorious students from Class-I to Class-X)
- Post-matric Scholarship (for meritorious students from Class-XI to Ph. D), and
- Merit-cum-Means Scholarships (for pursuing technical & professional courses)
Eligibility Criteria:
For Pre-matric Scholarship and Post-matric Scholarship-
- Candidates must have a domicile of West Bengal
- Applying aspirants should be studying in a School/ Institution recognized by an educational Board/ Council/ University of the State/ Central Government.
- Must have 50% marks or more in the previous final examination
- Family annual income must not be more than Rs.2 lakh
- Only students studying in institutes of West Bengal will eligible for pre-matric or post-matric scholarship.
- Candidates must have a domicile of West Bengal
- Perusing technical / professional course
- Must have 50% marks or more in the last Higher Secondary/ Graduation examination
- Family annual income must not be more than Rs.2 lakh
- Students, who are residents of West Bengal but pursuing studies in listed institutions located outside West Bengal, as may be notified from time to time by the West Bengal Minorities' Development and Finance Corporation, are also eligible for applying.
Selection Procedure:
- For Fresh Scholarship-
- On the basis of Merit and subject to the budgetary allocation provided by the State Government
- For Renewal Scholarship-
- Students have obtained 50% marks in his/her previous examination
Procedure to Fill Application Form For WBMDFC Scholarship 2020:
- Open the official website of the West Bengal Minorities' Development & Finance Corporation that is wbmdfcscholarship.gov.in
- After going to the home page you have to go to “Scheme & Guidelines” section.
- Complete details of WBMDFC Scholarship 2020 scheme will appear at your screen read the details carefully.
- Now candidates who are applying for the first time have to press the “New Registration” link from the top of the page.
- Register yourself by providing details.
- Already registered candidates have to press the “SVMCM Renewal” link.
- Fill the application form as per the rules.
- Upload the required documents.
- Finally submit the form and print a copy if submitted form for future use.
