Indian Institute

Age Limit:
Candidate’s
maximum age limit should be 26 years. However, the
privileged applicants are given a relaxation up to an additional 4 years.
Educational
Qualification: Candidates should have completed
10+2 standard with PCM (Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics) as a main subject
from the recognized board or school. They have to secure at least 70% (60%
Sc/ST/PWD) marks as an aggregate in the qualifying examination. Candidate has
to secure minimum prescribed category-wise marks in JEE (Advanced)-2016 as
given below:-

General Candidates: At least
20% marks in aggregate and at least 5% marks in each of the three subjects
(Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics).
·
OBC (Non Creamy Layer)
Candidates: At least 18% marks in aggregate and at least 4.5% marks in each of
the three subjects (Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics).
·
SC/ST/PWD Candidates: At least
10% marks in aggregate and at least 2.5% marks in each of the three subjects
(Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics)
Exam
Pattern:
·
Language: The examination of IIST 2017
will be asked in English medium only.
·
Type of Questions: It contains the
questions of objective type.
·
Syllabus: The syllabus of the entrance
test is based on 12th standard
·
Marking Scheme: The students are
provided with 3 mark for each correct answer
·
Negative Marking: 1 mark to be
subtracted for incorrect answer.
