eBiz is a part and integrated service
projects of 27 Mission Mode Projects (MMPs)
initiated by National E-Governance
Plan (NEGP) of the Government of India. Dear visitors ) under the guidance and
aegis of Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion (DIPP), Ministry of
Commerce & Industry, Government of India Infosys Technologies Limited
(Infosys) Implemented it.
The main motive of eBiz is to improve the
condition of business in the country by introducing fast and efficient access
to Government-to-Business (G2B) services through an online portal. This will
help in eliminating and reducing the time which is consumed to start and run
the business.
About National E-Governance Plan (NEGP)
National E-Governance Plan (NEGP) is a
service started by Government of India so that all the government services must
be made available to the citizen of India via electronic media. NEGP was formed
by
Department of Electronics and Information Technology (Deity) and Department
of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances (DARPG). On 18 May 2006
Government approved the National e-Governance Plan, consisting of 27
"Mission Mode Projects" (MMPs) and Ten components,

Department of Industrial Policy &
Promotion (DIPP) came into existence in the year 1995 and then it was reconstituted
in the year 2000 with the merger of the Department of Industrial Development.
