It is believed that on Holi, people forget their old enemies and get a hug and they become friends again. After this, resting the bath, wearing new clothes, people meet each other in the evening, get hugs and feed sweets.
There are many stories are connected with the festival of Holi. The most famous of these is the story of Prahlad. Due to the strength of his strength, he began to believe in God himself. He had restricted the name of God in his kingdom. Prahlad son of Hiranyakhipu was a devotee of God. Hearing against Prahlad's godly devotion, Hiranyakashipu gave him many punishments, but he did not leave the path of devotion to God.
Hiranyakshipu's sister Holika had a boon that she could not be consumed by the fire. He gave ordered Holika, Prahlad to sit in the fire and take it in the fire. The Holika was burnt on fire while sitting in the fire, but Prahlad survived. Holi is burnt on this day in memory of god devotee Prahlad. It is also believed that Prahlaad means happiness. Holika (burning wood) symbolizes hostility and persecution and Prahalad (joy) is a symbol of love and glee.
