One Nation One Exam
Excellent news for all those candidates who are willing to build their career in Government department, A Single Window Exam For Government Jobs , On 14 March 2018 Government of India has planned a Bill in the Rajya Sabha requesting for a Common Eligibility Test (CET) to choose brilliant contenders for Group B (Non-Gazetted) posts and below level posts in the Government of India.

One Nation One Exam, One of the major reasons proposed for the concern of the Common Eligibility Test (CET) is the high rate of Staff Selection Commission (SSC) Exam cancellations moreover fully or partially over the last 5 years. Cancellation of Exam leads to SSC getting a bad reputation and also wastes valuable time, money and hard work of the Commission and the candidate alike.

Organization
  • Staff Selection Commission will be given the only duty of conducting the Common Eligibility Test (CET). 
  • Commission has taken the responsibility to conduct the exam in a fair and well-organized manner, bereft of unprofessional conduct.


Eligibility:
 Common Eligibility Test (CET) would be conducted at three levels:
  • Matriculation Level
  • Higher Secondary Level (10+2)
  • Graduation Level

Selection Procedure:
Contenders must remember that the mode of selection for the CET would be mainly divided into two phases, Tier I and Tier II.
Tier I of the Common Eligibility Test (CET)  This should be treated as a common screening test such as the Prelims Exams held by the various recruiting agencies of the Government of India.
Tier II of the Common Eligibility Test (CET)   This is the main exam that would be conducted separately by the different concerned recruiting agencies/organizations.

Validity:
  • Government had proposed to make the Common Eligibility Test (CET) valid for a period of two years.
  • Contenders are informed that they may use their scores to appear for the Tier II of the exam which would be independently conducted by the various recruiting agencies of various government sectors. 

Registration process:
  • Interested candidates would have to register themselves on a dedicated platform developed by the National Career Services(NCS) belonging to the Ministry of Labour & Employment 
  • NCS would generate a unique ID for every candidate.
  • It has been proposed in the Financial Year (FY) 2018-19, that only the Graduation Level of CET would be conducted in February 2019.
  • From 2020 onward, all levels of the exam would be conducted in true spirit.
