Human Resource Development ministry has begun www.studyinindia.gov.in Portal for Foreign Students the India Habitat Centre on Wednesday, April 18, 2018 by the Minister of External Affairs of India Sushma Swaraj in the attendance of Minister of HRD, Prakash Javadekar. Interested candidates can apply now.





www.studyinindia.gov.in Portal for Foreign Students will enable students from 30 countries across South Asia, Africa, CIS and Middle East to select. You can apply for different courses from 150 select Indian institutions which are high on NAAC and NIRF ranking.  Official sit to apply is www.studyinindia.gov.in.


'Study in India' programme's primary intention is to target foreign students by branding India as an eye-catching education destination. As per the presented Government structure, provision of 10-15% supernumerary seats for foreign students is there. Programme would target the foreign students to be acknowledged as per this provision, which would not have any unpleasant impact on No. of seats/ admission of Indian students.


With 'Study in India' programme, India intends to progress the soft authority of country with the focus on the neighboring countries and utilize it as a tool in diplomacy.  The government has permitted an expenditure of Rs. One hundred fifty crore stores for the 'Study in India' programme for two years 2018-19 and 2019-20 which will be first and foremost for brand promotion activities.



'Study in India' programme occasion will also comprise the initiate of Study in India film along with a Cultural event by the foreign students. Ambassadors and legislative body from across eighty countries have been invited to remain in attendance at the launch of the event.
