Important Notice
Candidates of Junior Engineer (Civil, Mechanical & Electrical) Examination, 2024
may refer to the Notice of the Examination, Important Notice dated 17.10.2024 regarding
review of SSC’s Scribe Procedure for PwD/ PwBD candidates, and Procedure of Staff
Selection Commission (SSC) regarding Assistance of Scribe to PwD/ PwBD candidates
(SSC’s Scribe Procedure) published on the website of the Commission on 25.10.2024.
2. The portal for One Time Registration (OTR) of scribes is going to be made live on
26.10.2024. Accordingly, any person desirous of acting as a scribe to assist a PwD/
PwBD candidate in an examination of the Commission, including Paper-II of Junior
Engineer (Civil, Mechanical & Electrical) Examination, 2024, may register himself /
herself on the website of the Commission and generate the OTR number.
3. When the facility of Admission Certificate for Paper-II of the aforesaid examination
is made live, the PwD/ PwBD candidates who have opted for own scribe in the
application form will be required to provide the OTR number of the scribe chosen by
them to generate their Admission Certificate and Entry Pass of the scribe for the
examination. Detailed procedure in this regard is mentioned in the SSC’s Scribe
Procedure dated 25.10.2024 referred to above.
4. The provisions of Notice of Examination relating to grant of compensatory time and
assistance of scribe stand modified in the light of Important Notice dated 17.10.2024,
SSC’s Scribe Procedure dated 25.10.2024, and this Notice. Other terms and conditions as
mentioned in the Notice of Examination will remain the same.
