Exam date is likely to be conducted in the last week of April 2018.
- PECE 2018 will contain 150 objective type questions.
- Examination will consist questions from Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.
- Jharkhand Polytechnic 2018 will be conducted in offline mode in both English and Hindi languages.
- Candidates can secure a maximum of 150 marks since 1 mark will be awarded for every correct answer.
- For every incorrect answer, the candidate will lose 0.25 marks.
- Jharkhand Polytechnic 2018 Application Form will most likely be available from the third week of March 2018 and have to be submitted only through online mode.
Academic Qualification:
- Passed secondary/10th or equivalent examination with a minimum of 35% marks.
- Candidates appearing for the secondary/10th or equivalent exam are also eligible, subject to passing the examination before commencement of Counselling process.
Residential Criteria:
- Permanent resident of Jharkhand.
- Ward of an employee of Central Government working in Jharkhand.
- Ward of an employee of State Government or organizations operated/recognized by State Government.
Age Limit:
- No minimum or maximum age limit for examination.
- Applicants must turn at least 17 years old on or before July 1, 2018.

Exam Center:
- JCECEB will conduct the exam at various examination centers in 7 districts across Jharkhand.
- PECE 2018 will be conducted at following districts – Ranchi, Hazaribagh, Jamshedpur, Dhanbad, Dumka, Chaibasa, and Bokaro
- Allotment of exam center depends on complete discretion of conducting authority
- Once allotted, candidate cannot request change in exam center
- Candidate will have to appear for Jharkhand Polytechnic 2018 at the allotted exam center only
Exam Pattern:
- Exam duration will be 2 hours and 30 minutes
- PECE 2018 will consist of 150 multiple choice questions (MCQs)
- There will be 3 sections in question paper – Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics
- Number of questions in each section will be 50

How to fill Jharkhand Polytechnic 2018 Application Form
- Application form will be available only through online mode.
- Visit the official website of JCECEB that is jceceb.jharkhand.gov.in/Default.aspx
- On the home page click on ‘JCECEB PECE 2018’ tab
- Click on ‘Step 1 – New registration’
- Fill details – Candidate Name, Father’s Name, Gender, Date of Birth, Category, Mobile No. and Email ID and upload scanned images of passport size photograph, signature, and thumb impression
- Click on to ‘Submit’ button
- Registration ID will be generated for candidate
- At the end take print out of form and keep it safe
