Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has announced that the CDS application process will going to starts from 12 June 2019 and will continue till 08 July 2019. Only eligible candidates will be allowed to submit the application form against the same. CDS Eligibility Criteria 2019 – 20

CDS Nationality Criteria:
In order to appear in the CDS exam candidates must be citizen of any 1 of the following countries/regions-

A citizen of India
A subject of Bhutan
A subject of Nepal
A Tibetan refugee who came to India before July 1, 1962 with the intention of permanently setting in India
Candidates from Nepal, Bhutan and Tibetan refugee, Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka and East African Countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire and Ethiopia or Vietnam are also eligible to appear for CDS Exam but only after the fulfillment eligibility criteria.

Vision (corrected) better eye 6/6 and worse eye 6/12

Myopia of not more than minus 3.5 D
Myopia of not more than minus 5.5 D
Manifest hypermetropia of not more than plus 3.5 D including Astigmatism
Manifest hypermetropia of not more than plus 3.5 D including Astigmatism.

Visual Standards for Navy:

  • Uncorrected without glass – 6/12
  • Corrected with glass – 6/6
  • Limits of Myopia – 1.5
  • Limits of Hypermetropia +1.5
