TET Syllabus:
The TET Syllabus is divided into two paper that is paper I & II.
Paper I Syllabus:
Child Development and Pedagogy–
- The concept of development and its relationship with learning
- Principles of the development of children
- Influence of Heredity & Environment
- Socialization processes: Social world & children (Teacher, Parents, and Peers)
- Concepts of child-centered and progressive education
- Critical perspective of the construct of Intelligence
- Multi-Dimensional Intelligence Language & Thought
- Gender as a social construct; gender roles, gender-bias and educational practice
- Individual differences among learners, understanding differences based on diversity of language, caste, gender, community, religion etc.
- The distinction between Assessment for learning and assessment of learning; School-Based Assessment, Continuous & Comprehensive Evaluation: perspective and practice
- Formulating appropriate questions for assessing readiness levels of learners; for enhancing learning and critical thinking in the classroom and for assessing learner achievement

The concept of Inclusive education and understanding children with special needs–

Syllabus for NET UGC:
- Paper I:-It will cover basic principles which will assess the teaching/ research aptitude of the candidate. It will primarily test the candidates’ reasoning ability, comprehension, divergent thinking and general awareness.
- Paper II- It will consist of 50 questions based on the subject of study chosen by the candidate. Each question will carry 2 marks.
- Paper III- This paper shall consist of 75 objective type questions based again on the subject selected by the candidate. Each question will carry 2 marks.
