Goa
Assembly Election was held on 04 February 2017 after a time period of 5 years.
The BJP, Congress and Aam Aadmi Party have begun hectic campaigning in the
state. Ruling party BJP appears confident of holding on to power in the state.
The Aam Aadmi Party is contesting in the state for the first time. The result will be declared on 15th March 2017.
About 84%
of the population of Goa cast their vote by the evening. While in one booth,
re-polling was ordered due to some procedural failure. This time Election
Commission made some of the booths as women-friendly booths and was decorated
with pink color balloons and due to the woman, voters were overwhelmed.
