SCRA Eligibility Criteria

Service Commission conducts the examination for SCRA to select the candidates
for the Indian Railway in Mechanical Department.

SCRA stands for Special Class
Railway Apprentice. It is an examination conducted by the UPSC. This programme
was started in the year 1927. It recruits the candidates for the Mechanical
Engineering.
UPSC selects the candidates
through three stages that are written exam, interview/ personality test and

Details for SCRA Eligibility Criteria:
Educational Qualification:
- A citizen of India
- A subject of Nepal
- Subject of Bhutan
Aspirants should be physically
fit and according to physical standards for admission to Special Class Railway
Apprentice examination.
Age Limitation:
SCRA Age Limit of aspirants
should not be below 17 years and must not above 21 years.
Age Relaxation:
The candidate’s age is given
above and the Limitation is applicable as per the Government Norms.
