Increasement in seats:

The candidates who want to make their career in Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery they have good news. Medical Council of India has made an announcement to increase various seats in UPCPMT 2018. 

This will mean that the state will get an additional various seats from this academic year in the government sector, which was sought by the government in Manjeri and Kozhikode medical colleges.

Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery:

BM/BS is an educational degree for the students of medical science. In India, all the medical science colleges are affiliated with medical council of India awards MBBS degree. It generally takes four and half year of duration to complete, followed by one year of full time internship in hospitals. 

Students can apply for MBBS degree after they have passed their 12th standard exam. In India students will have to medical clear entrance exams.

The Medical Council of India is the full name for MCI. It is the statutory body for establishing uniform and high standards of medical education in India. The current President of MCI is Dr. Jayshreeban Mehta.
