Agricultural Research Services (ARS)
Preliminary exam and National Eligibility Test (NET I) from May 16 to 21, 2017.
Contenders who are willing to apply for ASRB NET 2017 Notification they have to
fill ASRB NET 2017 NET (I) Online Form.
Agricultural Research Services (ARS)
Preliminary exam and National Eligibility Test (NET I) will be conducted in
online mode at 23 centres across India in different slots. ASRB NET application
form 2017 is available in online mode from March 22 to
April 15, 2017. ARS 2017 exam will be conducted in two phases –
Preliminary and Mains exam followed by viva voce. Mains exam of ARS 2017 will
be conducted on July 8, 2017.

Nationality:
A candidate must be either:-

a citizen of India, or
·
a citizen of Nepal, or
·
a citizen of Bhutan, or
·
a Tibetan refugee who came over
to India before the 1st

a person of Indian origin who
has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka and East African countries of
Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, (formerly Tanganyika and
Zanzibar) Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of
permanently settling in India.

ARS 2017: Contenders should have
attained the age of 21 years but not have attained the age of 32 years as on
01.01.2017.
·
NET 2017 : Contenders must have
attained the age of 21 years as on 01.01.2017. There is no upper age limit for
the National Eligibility Test.
Educational
Qualification:
·
ARS 2017: Master’s Degree or
equivalent in the concerned discipline of agriculture with specialization.
·
NET 2017: Master’s degree or
equivalent in the concerned discipline and specialization completed on or
before 08.07.2017.
ASRB
NET Admit Card 2017:
·
Admit card of ARS Prelims and
NET (I) will be issued in the month of April 2017.
·
ASRB NET admits card will be made
available in online mode on the official website of ASRB.
·
Admit card for the mains exam
of ARS will be made available in June 2017.
·
Interview call letters for
viva-voce for ARS 2017 will be issued to the candidates after the declaration
of mains exam.
·
No hard copy of the ASRB NET
admits card 2017 will be sent to the candidates by post.
·
Contenders are required to
bring the Valid Photo Identity Card like Voter Card/ Aadhar Card/ Passport/
Driver’s License/ PAN card and two photographs apart along with the admit card .

Procedure:
ARS
Contenders under Agricultural Research
Service (ARS) for Scientists posts will be selected on the basis of Prelims,
Mains and Viva Voce.
NET
(I)
·
Candidates clearing the
National Eligibility Test (NET) will be eligible to apply for the post of
Lecturers or Assistant Professors in the SAUs/AUs.
·
NET certificates will be issued
by the ASRB to qualified candidates to enable them to apply against vacancies
to be notified or advertised by the State Agricultural Universities/Agricultural
Universities.
ASRB
NET Exam Pattern 2017:
·
Exam pattern of ASRB NET
provides details about the marking scheme, number of questions, sectional
weightage, number of sections etc.
·
Exam of ARS and NET will be
conducted in online mode.
·
Questions of the Examination
will be available in bilingual form i.e. in Hindi and English medium.
·
Exam pattern of both the exam
is different.

Scheme of ASRB NET has been
explained below:
ARS
2017 Scheme
·
ARS 2017 Preliminary
Examination will comprise of one paper and maximum marks allotted to the paper
is 150.
·
Exam will be conducted for 2
hours. 1/3 marks will be deducted for each wrong answer.
·
This is a qualifying
examination and marks scored will not be counted for final selection.
·
ARS 2017 Mains exam will have
only one paper of 240 marks which will have to be completed in 3 hours
duration.
·
The paper will be of
conventional type.
·
Contenders who obtain minimum
qualifying marks in the Mains Examination shall be called for viva-voce in the
ratio of 1:5 (category-wise) for each post.
·
ARS 2017 viva voce will be
conducted to to assess his/her suitability for the Service for which he/she has
competed.
NET
(I) 2017
·
NET (I) 2017 will comprise of
one paper of 150 marks consisting of 150 objective type multiple choice
questions.
·
Paper will be conducted for 2
hours.
·
Each question carries one mark.
·
1/3 mark will be deducted for
each wrong answer in the NET (I), 2017.

to Fill ASRB NET Application Form 2017

Candidates who wish to apply
for ASR and NET exam are required to apply online for the exam.
