Check complete details about JoSAA 2018 exam notification such as Seat Allotment, Reporting Centres, process to fill JoSAA 2018 application form, important dates etc. counseling of JoSAA 2018 will be held for candidates who have qualified JEE Main  for admission in NITs, IIITs and other GFTIs and JEE Advanced  will be held for admission in IITs and ISM Dhanbad.



Joint Seat Allocation Authority conducts JoSAA for admission of eligible candidates to undergraduate engineering programmes. Registration is expected to start from the third week of June 2018. A total of ninety seven participating institutes of Joint Seat Allocation Authority 2018 will offer admission to talented contenders.

Eligibility Criteria:

Eligibility Norms

Performance in JEE Advanced 2018 and Preparatory courses at IITs and ISM
a) Qualify JEE Advanced 2018 for academic programmes (excluding the preparatory courses) at IITs and ISM.
a) Qualify in JEE Advanced 2018 for preparatory courses at IITs and ISM.
b) Must obtain at least 70%
Performance in JEE Main 2018
a) Secure a rank in JEE Main 2018 Paper I for B.E. / B.Tech. programmes.
b) Secure a rank in JEE Main 2018 Paper II for B. Arch. / B. Planning programmes.
Performance in Class XII or equivalent for JEE Advanced 2018
a) Must obtain at least 75% (for Gen or OBC-NCL) or 70% (for SC, ST, PwD) of aggregate marks. or
b) Must be within the category wise top 20 percentile of successful candidates.
Performance in class XII or equivalent examination for JEE Main 2018
Paper I: Must have at least 45% (for Gen) or 40% (OBC-NCL, SC, ST, PwD) of aggregate marks in each of the subjects. The candidates must have passed in Physics, Mathematics, which are compulsory subjects along with any one of Chemistry/Biotechnology/Biology/ technical vocational subject.
Paper II: Must have a minimum aggregate of 50% marks with Mathematics as a core subject.


Mock Seat Allotment
·         Mock seat allotment for candidates will be provided to make better choices of colleges/courses and for understanding the seat allotment process.
·         Mock seat allotment will be available for candidates who have filled their choices within the prescribed dates.
·         During the mock seat allotment contenders may modify or upgrade their choices.
·         You may take advantage of the JoSAA mock seat allocation and choose as many courses as possible according to their preferences
·         You must lock their choices after second mock seat allocation.
·         If choices are not locked within the time period, last saved choices will be locked automatically on the last date of choice filling.


 JoSAA Reporting Centres:
·         Contenders need to appear at JoSAA reporting centre for document verification process.
·         You must report at the centre within the specific period of time.
·         You must bring the necessary original particulars along with the xerox copies.
·         If in any case a candidate fails to produce their particulars, the allotted seat will be cancelled.

·         Provisional JoSAA Seat Allotment Letter 2018
·         Candidate Undertaking
·         Proof of Seat Acceptance fee payment by e-challan or SBI Net banking
·         Photo Identity Card (valid)
·         Original JEE Advanced Admit Card 2018
·         Date of Birth Proof (10th Standard Mark Sheet)
·         Class 12th (or equivalent) Mark Sheet and Pass Certificate
·         Medical Certificate
·         Category Certificate (if applicable)
·         Certificate for PwD (if applicable)
·         Passport (for foreign nationals) or OCI Certificate or PIO Card (if applicable)

·         Candidates have to register themselves to participate in JoSAA 2018
·         Candidates who have qualified JEE Advanced and JEE Main 2018 have to fill and submit JoSAA 2018 registration form

·         Fill up of choices and lock your choice
·         After filling it take print out of same and keep it same for future need
