Selection Process
Following are a selection process for the exam that every candidate need face for getting a job:

·         Prelims Examination
This is the initial process of the selection. Every bank examination should conduct the written exam to view the talents of various applied candidates. Every candidate should clear the prelims exam in order to apply for the further steps of selections. Prelims examination includes objective type questions and has 100 multiple choice questions divided into three sections, English Language, Reasoning Ability and Numerical ability. Candidates will be allotted 60 minutes to complete the exam.  The selection is done on the basis of cut off marks.

·         Mains Examinations
After clearing the Prelims examination, candidates will undergo with mains examination which is the second stage selection. Here the level of questions will increase. The main question paper consists of 4 sections, General/Financial Awareness, English Language, Quantitative Aptitude and Reasoning Ability and Computer Aptitude. Candidates will allot with 2 hours 40 minutes to complete the paper. The number of questions and marks will be 50 and the time duration will be 35 minutes. For the English language, the number of questions and marks will be 40 and the duration will be 35 minutes. For quantitative aptitude, the number of marks and questions will be 50 and the time duration will be 45 minutes. For the reasoning ability, a number of questions and computer aptitude is 50 and 60 and the time duration is 45 minutes. There would be 1/4th marks allotted to a question will be deducted as negative marking for incorrect answer.

·         Test of Local Languages
Candidates after clearing the mains cut off marks than they have to show 10th standard mark sheet/certificate showing that they have studied official (local) language. Candidates will not be will get permission for a language test, those candidates who are unable to produce a certificate will have to qualify a language test will be conducted before final selection. Candidates not found to be proficient in official and/or local language would be disqualified.

·         Final Selection
Candidates will appoint as the employee of SBI, after releasing the final merit list of qualified candidates. Marks of Prelims will not be added to this merit lists.
