CLAT 2017 Online Application Form, Exam Important Dates Registration

Dear candidates who want to take admission in UG and PG Law courses then this is great opportunity for you.  The Common Law Admission Test will be held on Second week of May 2017 for the admission in various courses organized by the Chankya National Law University, Patna.

CLAT 2017 is a national level entrance exam. It is commenced once in a year in the month of May. It is organized for granting admission in Integrated L.L.B and L.L.M courses offered by 17 National Law Universities of India. Eligible and talented candidates may apply through online mode from official website.


This examination gets conducted for the duration of 2 hours. In this text there will be multiple type questions based on General Knowledge, Math, English and Legal & Logical Reasoning are asked.

For CLAT LLB Programmes
·         Age Limit: Candidate age limit should not be exceeding by 20 years old as on 1st July 2017 and 22 years old in case of SC/ST.
·         Academic Qualification: The candidate must have passed 12th standard or any equivalent examination.
·         Appearing Candidates: Candidates who are appearing in the qualifying examination in April/May 2017 are also eligible to appear in CLAT exam. The candidates must convert their grades (if any) into percentage for appearing in CLAT 2017.

For CLAT LLM Programmes
·         Age Limit: No age Bar.
·         Academic Qualification: The candidate must have an LLB or any other equivalent degree.
·         Appearing Candidates: Candidates who are appearing in the qualifying examination in March/April 2017 are also eligible to appear in CLAT 2017 examination. However they shall be required to show a hard copy of the proof of their passing the qualifying examination in the respective National Law Universities at the time of admission.

Application Fee:
·         GEN/OBC/SAP (Specially Abled Persons) Category need to pay Rs. 4000/– as application fee.
·         SC/ST Candidates have to pay Rs. 3500/– only.
·         Application fee can be paid either online or e-Challan.


Exam Pattern:
UG Programmes:
·         The question paper will be of 200 marks.
·         For each correct response, 1 mark will be given to the candidate.
·         0.25 marks will be deducted for each wrong answer.
·         The time duration of this entrance exam will be two hours.

For PG Programmes:
·         The paper will be of 2 Hours duration.
·         The paper will comprise of 150 MCQs.
·         The candidate will be awarded for 1 mark for each correct answer.
·         There will be a provision for 0.25 negative marking for every incorrect response.

Syllabus:
·         General Knowledge and Current Affairs,
·         Legal Aptitude,
·         Elementary Mathematics and
·         Constitutional Law, etc.

·         Candidates have to visit the official site
·         Hit on “CLAT 2017” link that is available left side on the home page.
·         Click on appropriate link for applying posts.
·         Now click on apply online the application form.
·         Fill the application form with complete details.
·         Upload certificates in respect of his/ her qualification, Caste/ Community certificate and passport size photographs.
·         Pay the Fee
·         Submit the application form
·         At last, take a printout for the future use
