Eligibilities for NET :

UGC CBSE NET 2018 July Notification cbsenet.nic.in Online RegistrationJunior Research Fellowship:
·         The candidate should have Master’s Degree / Equivalent with scored 55% marks in well register the University of India.
·         Candidates in final year of the degree course can also appear in the entrance exam for NET 2018.
· Ph.D. degree holders, who’s completed Master’s exam by 19th September 1991 (irrespective of the date of declaration of result) shall be eligible for a relaxation of 5% in aggregate marks.

Assistant Professor:
·         NET / SLET / SET shall remain the minimum eligibility condition for recruitment and appointment of Assistant Professors, however, that candidates, who are or have been awarded a Ph.D. Degree in accordance with the UGC shall be exempted. The candidates who have passed the UGC / CSIR JRF examination prior to 1989 are also exempted from appearing in NET.

Age limitation:
·         CBSE has made some changes in Age eligibility for candidates who want to appear in the UGC NET entrance exam for Junior Research Fellowship. The previous upper age limit was 28 years old but now it has been extended to 30 years old. There would be age relaxation for the reserved candidates whoever crosses the upper limit of age as Government rules.
·         Assistant Professor: There is no upper age limit for applying for eligibility for Assistant Professor

Latest Pattern for UGC NET 2018: (Important UPDATE)
The pattern of the UGC NET examination has been changed for 2018 session. Instead of three papers, now only two papers are to be attempted by the candidates. Both the papers are compulsory and are for 100 marks. To solve Paper I, candidates get 1 hour and the duration of Paper II is 2 hours. Paper I is generic for all, however, in Paper II the questions related to chosen subjects will be asked.
